Scotland - Glasgow - General Extension - Queen's 90th Birthday

In recognition of the national celebrations for Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th Birthday, the City of Glasgow Licensing Board has determined to grant a general extension of licensed hours in terms of section 67 of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005.

The general extension will have effect in the following terms:

  • An additional one licensed hour has been granted to all licensed premises with an on-sales facility to take effect at the end of the core licensed hours set out in the premises licence on both Friday 10 June and Saturday 11 June 2016;
  • The general extension does not apply to premises operating as a casino;
  • The general extension does not apply to any premises which have been granted extended licensed hours in terms of section 70 of the Act on either of these dates;
  • Premises which are selling alcohol after 12 midnight will be expected to comply with the terms of the Licensing Policy on the use of toughened glass and other safety glass products as detailed in part eight of the Licensing Board’s Licensing Policy Statement
